What is CalFresh?

(nationally known as SNAP/food stamps) is a food and nutrition assistance program that can help 色界吧 students buy the food they need to live healthy and learn better. Students facing tight food budgets can apply for CalFresh and help incorporate healthy foods like fruits and vegetables into their diet.

Eligible individuals can get up to $291 a month. You can use that at many grocery stores, convenience stores and farmer鈥檚 markets. CalFresh for students is like financial aid for food. If accepted, you鈥檒l get a free debit card with a certain amount each month to buy groceries and eat healthier.

色界吧ing only takes a few minutes and you鈥檒l get a call from the San Diego CalFresh office in a few days to verify your situation. If approved, you鈥檒l get CalFresh benefits within 30 days.
