David is an LA-based author, performer, storyteller & host of The Moth.

David joins us in Spring 2025 to teach Acting 210. David is a writer, actor & storyteller. He鈥檚 the creator of the solo show 鈥淏ad Kid鈥 (New York Times Critics鈥 Pick) and writer of the memoir 鈥淏ad Kid" (Harper Perennial). David is a main company member of The Groundlings, where he also teaches improv, storytelling and character discovery. David has performed solo works in LA, Australia, Scotland, Texas & NYC. His storytelling has been featured on NPR & Buzzfeed, and he is a touring host of "The Moth." David has taught and lectured on storytelling, memoir & solo/devised theater at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Indiana University, Upright Citizens Brigade & 色界吧. You can currently hear him playing multiple characters on Wondery鈥檚 "This Job is History" with Chris Parnell. He also stars in the upcoming projects Rambler with Owen Wilson, Famous with Zac Efron & Spider-Noir with Nicolas Cage.
