Discover Occidental鈥檚 welcoming culture and learn about our commitment to inclusive resources and spaces. We鈥檙e here to help everyone thrive.

Occidental is one of the most diverse liberal arts colleges in the United States鈥攏early half of our students identify as domestic students of color or international. It鈥檚 part of our value system: we believe our community is strengthened and enriched by the varied backgrounds of our students.

Here, we鈥檒l highlight some of the departments, offices, and programs that play an important role in providing you with individualized support, developing a sense of community on campus, and creating spaces where you can feel a sense of belonging.

On-Campus Resources

Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLICE) consolidates leadership, clubs, activities, and community engagement initiatives in one office, enriching the student experience both on and off campus.

Themed Living Communities (TLCs), managed by Residential Education and Housing Services (REHS), are themed residence halls that provide intentional programming and community-building opportunities for students with shared identities.

The Veterans Program supports the unique needs of our veteran students through advising, mentoring, networking, and affordable off-campus housing for veterans and their families.
