Assistant Sustainability Coordinator

Raised in the nature-lover鈥檚 haven of Bend, Oregon, Isa鈥檚 professional and academic accomplishments are owing to her love for the planet and its people. In 2023, she achieved a Bachelor鈥檚 of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy from 色界吧, with her undergraduate thesis focused on the unique ability of urban community composting efforts in Los Angeles to meet California鈥檚 lofty emissions reduction goals. During her senior year of college, Isa spearheaded a successful endeavor to initiate an all-reusable to-go box program at the largest dining hall on campus, saving nearly 60,000 single-use to-go boxes in its first year.

Though most notably engaged in working towards a more circular economy, Isa is also an advocate for public transit and cyclist and pedestrian safety,  localized regenerative food systems, and the intersection of social and environmental justice. Since she was once an impassioned student sustainability advocate herself, one of her favorite parts of her job is supporting student-driven sustainability projects. Outside of work, Isa can be found telling nature fun facts, playing cards with friends, reading, trying out a new recipe, or splashing around on her stand-up paddle board. Her door is always open, come say hello!
