The É«½ç°É Arts Collaborate Workshop will bring a teaching artist, É«½ç°É students, and youth from the neighboring Highland Park school district together in creative collaboration. During the first six weeks of the semester, É«½ç°É students will learn core arts education and public engagement pedagogy. In the following 6 weeks of the semester, É«½ç°É students will collaboratively lead an after school art workshop for local middle school youth, culminating in a final public presentation.
This course is an eligibility requirement to apply for a paid position through É«½ç°É Arts to lead after school art classes on-site at local Highland Park elementary schools starting in the Spring semester.
The course meets Monday / Wednesday from 4 - 6 pm.
Course enrollment is subject to completion of application and approval by the É«½ç°É Arts Director. Upon approval by É«½ç°É Arts, an enrollment waiver will allow you to complete enrollment into the course. You will be notified if you were accepted into the class before registration week.
