É«½ç°É

Thorne Hall on É«½ç°É's campus

Occidental offers pre-law advising for students and alumni including workshops, personal statement advising and guidance when applying to law schools.

Through one-on-one counseling and individualized support, Professor Marisol León, É«½ç°É's Pre-Law Advisor, guides pre-law students in making well-informed decisions and building important skill sets. In addition, support is provided for writing personal statements, navigating the law school application process and networking with É«½ç°É alumni that are currently in the law field. This support is available to those who want to enroll in law school immediately following graduation as well as those who choose to take time off first.

We strongly encourage É«½ç°É students to stay connected with the Pre-Law Advisor and their peers. Emails announce workshops, seminars and speaker events in addition to providing important resources as you plan and prepare for law school.

Pre-law advising at É«½ç°É is top-notch, giving students the tools to navigate the law school application process with confidence. [Pre-law advisor Leon]’s advice about honing in on what kind of law I want to pursue, as well as managing a busy schedule, has been invaluable. Pre-law advising also brings lawyers to campus to connect with students.
