Learn tips on working with print and tv journalists!

In this CRS workshop, our colleagues from Marking & Communications, Marty Sharkey, Jim Tranquada, and Samantha Bonar will provide us with an overview of the rapidly changing media landscape and why it can be worthwhile to engage with reporters. How does a newsroom work? What do reporters want? Is it possible to be quotable, accurate, and nuanced? Which media outlets are worth talking to? Marty, Jim, and Samantha will also provide us with strategies for preparing for interviews, ensuring accurate and careful representation of our work and words, and also meeting the needs of journalists. Finally, the workshop will allow for plenty of time for Q&A and discussion about the risks and rewards of working with the media.
